When Life Throws You a Curve Ball (Or Has You Balled Up Into One)

We had been looking forward to this past weekend for a while ya'll. Like a long while. It's been a while since we've had a chance to get back to our Alma Mater, Liberty University, and when Ethan's old crew planned a reunion we were truly stoked. We were looking forward to hooking up with all the friends we hadn't seen in a while and getting to  meet their little ones and showing off ours. It was going to be an epic trip... Or so we had hoped.

Thursday afternoon we made our way down to my parents' to stay the night and spend the day on Friday. Ethan and I were all sentimental as we drove, listening to songs that we fell in love to. We got there and Friday was pretty great: perfect weather, family time and tire swings, and a chance to visit my high school and meet up with old friends and teachers. But it quickly took a turn Friday night that had me reliving memories I hadn't planned on... hugging the toilet of my childhood bathroom.

Ya'll. It was awful. Like real awful. I ended up not being able to go the reunion at all, and Ethan barely was able to attend before I called him back to help me out. Our plans were totally derailed and I was miserable to boot. Plus, Aria was sick at times as well.

In the middle of the mess, we all pulled together and helped one another out. I couldn't have made it through the weekend without my family. And not all was lost. We got some pretty great pics of our kids that I can't wait to hang!

My sister takes amazing photos!!

Happy Momlife Ya'll!
